Selection of Winners and Prizes. 

Grand prize winners: Three (3) grand prize winners, and three additional winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place), will be selected from all eligible entries by February, 2008 by the Viral Video Competition Judges. Judges’ decisions are final on all matters related to this contest. Winners will be notified by the phone number, email address, or mail address noted on their entry forms. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

1st through 6th place winners each receive scholarship cash prizes in the following amounts:

• 1st Place – $5,000
• 2nd Place - $3,000
• 3rd Place – $2,000
• 4th, 5th, & 6th Place winners will receive $250 toward documented production costs of a video. 

All winners agree to share their production experiences with select news media as determined appropriate by the American Chemistry Council and may be offered the chance to participate in a national news satellite media tour to coincide with the announcement of the winners prior to the college spring break season in 2008 (January through March). Winners who agree to participate in a media tour will be awarded travel stipends in addition to prize winnings and may be required to sign a travel release.
