The official video entry deadline has been postponed to no later then January 31st, 2008. All entries submitted after the Nov 30th deadline will be accepted until January 31st, 2008 and not later.

Schools from around the country compete for:

  • Three cash prizes totalling $10,000
  • A national media tour

 

Guidelines for the ACC Viral Video Competition

  1. Contest Theme: "Every piece of litter has a human face behind it"
  2. Creativity of all ideas is encouraged, even if it is abstract, photo-real, surreal, CGI, cartoon, clay-mation or real mechanicals.
  3. Film and or video can be up to 2 ½ minutes in length including no more than five seconds of static credit frames.
  4. Essential that new creative examples of taking personal responsibility for cleaning litter on beaches and/or oceans/lakes/waterfronts be shown.
  5. Essential that there is depiction of personal responsibility involved in litter and litter cleanup.
  6. If you pre-release your project before a winner is chosen your project will be automatically disqualified.
  7. No purchase is required
  8. There will be three cash scholarship prizes awarded:
  • 1st Place - $5000
  • 2nd Place - $3000
  • 3rd Place - $2000

    4th, 5th, & 6th place winners will receive $250 for production costs.

    Winners may be featured in a satellite media tour offered live from New York City to morning news talk shows across the US and will be promoted virally on the web.

    Entries and Video Submissions that are received after the times given, for any reason, will not be accepted. We will not accept responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, lost, damaged, illegible, forged, altered, or unviewable due to technical error(s).
